The Dress

A beautiful Mariana Hardwick Addision lace gown. I bought this dress used and I’m devastated it doesn’t work for me. My post baby body just doesn’t pull of the same style dresses it once did and I need to let this dress find new love.

The measurements I’ve listed are my current measurements and the dress is a tiny pinch firm. It does fit those measurements, but it would likely fit someone a tiny bit smaller. The dress was sold to me as a size 10, I’m fitting in an 8, so I would say the dress is a large 6 to small 8.

Features an internal strap around the waist to take the weight of the dress, zipper closure and decorative lace covered buttons. The small train can be secured on the bustle.

The dress back is around natural waistline. I bought a Nancy Ganz Body Scult Backless Jumpsuit shapewear piece to wear under the dress for an idea of what you could wear under it. The straps don't sit 100% right with the Nancy Ganz suit but everything else does.

I love this dress, but I just don’t love how it looks on me. It’s a beautifully constructed dress, so I did consider rebuilding it, but I just can’t stomach the thought of cutting into it. I believe it has only been worn once, and the original listing said it was a 2018 manufacture. There are some signs of wear on the lining around the straps that can’t be seen when worn. The underside of the train has slight discolouration from wear still remaining after the dry cleaning.
