The Dress

This skirt and topper combo from Anna Campbell was such a joy to wear for my ceremony. I’d love for another bride to feel as special in it as I did!

The Meadow topper (Anna Campbell size S) is made of hand beaded sparkling sequinned tulle, and features a classic illusion neckline, capped sleeve and fluttering open back. Ordinarily it’s made sheer, however I had a customised liner added into the front for modesty (I didn’t trust using just a stick on bra to hold me all day and keep me concealed! In the end the bra held, but I felt a hundred times better knowing that lining was sewn in).

As for the skirt (Anna Campbell size XS), it’s a soft ivory crepe with central split at the front, and made to suit my height with heels. It was the perfect combination of figure hugging and sexy, yet comfortable and easy to move about in. It has a gorgeous train that can be bustled with a button once ceremony completed.

The skirt and topper have been dry cleaned at bridal gown specialists, Syndal’s Bridal Dry Cleaners, and comes with drycleaning certificate.

As I’ve indicated in the pictures, the existing bustle button appears to have lost its fabric cover through the dry cleaning process. Anna Campbell has provided a spare button and this would be an easy swap over for the new owner to do.

Please note also that there is some pilling where the fabric train has met the ground, and on the side of the waistband (I haven’t attempted to de-pill).

Additionally, there are some marks to the inside back of the dress (where the back of the heels touch). Being this is inside, this may be concealed for the most part (as you can see in my pics, the front closes over quite a bit so I didn’t have an open view to the inside back of the skirt). There are also some very subtle marks to the outside of the dress on one side. I have tried my best to show all the above in my photographs.

Alterations

The skirt length was taken to suit my height with shoes, with the front perfectly grazing the ground. As such, I would recommend only for a bride with similar height, if not shorter than myself (I am 157cm/ 5’2” without shoes, and 164cm with my wedding heels).
