My COVID wedding dress!

I usually feel self conscious about my belly and I thought this would show it. Nope! I felt totally confident in it. I have a rectangle/spoon shape and this gave me a more defined waist. It was also very cooling because of the silk. My wedding day, it was 93 degrees, but because of the silk and the shade, I felt totally fine!

This dress was so lovely to wear. I had it on for three to four hours. Nothing chaffed, nothing ripped. The only thing that needs a good cleaning are the shoes!

Even the cape survived fully intact with zero tears! You’ll get the cape as well if you buy this dress. It was custom made in the UK by Sash and Veil, created with a custom blush color, and made of Italian tulle—extremely soft and translucent.

If you’d like my headpiece with this dress, I’m selling it! It’s the Ella Crown from Tilly Thomas Lux, a UK designer. It’s handmade of Swarovski crystals, 24k plated gold and brass, EXTREMELY lightweight and stays on your head no matter what—even if you have thin hair!! I paid about $688 USD (425 British pounds, plus 30 pounds international shipping), so I’m selling it for $425 USD. This designer’s work is EXTREMELY RARE and hard to find over in the States. I would know—I tried so hard and couldn’t find it pre-COVID.

I’ll also sell the shoes that go with it too! They were perfect satin heels with not too high of a heel (I’m 5’7, my husband is 5’8”, so I only wanted to be about an inch and a half higher than him max), and they have a cute faux Pearl circle as the strap on top.

Alterations

My seamstress took pieces of the excess sparkle layer and turned them into detachable caps for the bridal cape. She also added in cups that you could easily remove. Finally, she tightened up the lower back area so it cinched in more, but designed it where you could easily take it back out again.
