The Dress

Gorgeous sequinned Karen Willis Holmes Poppy dress. Floor length, with hidden zipper at back. Able to be bustled. Neckline is sheer with scattered sequins dispersing up from the bodice. Have had it altered so that the back has an open V shape to where the zipper starts rather than the original fully covered back. Material has a little bit of weight to it which means it hangs in a very flattering way over the hips (doesn’t cling to every unwanted curve!) but still shows off your figure as it is fitted around the waist. It is not overly heavy though and is very comfortable (and fun!) to wear.

Has been altered professionally by the seamstresses at Karen Willis Holmes boutique as mentioned for the back, as well as the hem shortened slightly - I am 168cm tall plus low to medium heels. No alterations to the body but cups have been inserted.

Comes with the gorgeous Maggie Tulle over skirt which can be easily removed. I wore this during the ceremony and took it off for the reception. Gives a princess line and a more traditional look as it is made with tulle but not overly puffy. Also comes with a plain belt which gives a seamless look with or without the skirt. Am including a simple Anna Campbell cathedral length single tier (no blusher) veil with attached clear comb ($299 originally)

Everything has been professionally dry cleaned by the cleaners recommended by Karen Willis Holmes and is packed in a preservation bag in acid free tissue paper. It has been laid flat under my bed until I have the heart to part with it!

There are some sequins missing under the arm however I have included a bag of sequins that comes with it for the minor repairs. In fact when I bought it it was the same situation as the sequins can be quite delicate so Karen Willis Holmes did a final check before I took it away to make sure none were missing.

The Poppy dress is a size 4 and the over skirt is adjustable as it is tied and size 8. I was fitting a size 8 normally at the time.

I was so happy with this dress on the day. I hope it gets to see another dance floor!
