The Dress

Hi there!

If you're searching for a dress that can transition from day to night, formal to nonformal setting, etc. this could be a really good option for you! When I was shopping for dresses, I was looking for something slightly sensual and romantic, yet very G rated (church wedding), non-princess-y, but still very feminine. I tried on at least twenty-five dresses before finding this one which was the perfect combination of the things I wanted for the big day! I wore this for our formal church wedding service, at a backyard-casual reception, and on two photoshoots; one on the ocean bluffs and another in the mountains, and it looks fabulous in all of these settings!! It lends itself to a dreamy, elegant and still somehow easy-going aesthetic. It was exactly what I was looking for and I felt fabulous and comfortable all day in it. I wore it with no bra and it was extremely supportive and not itchy or anything.

This dress is a size zero and made for a small person. I know alterations can cost a lot with these lacy-overlay kinds of dresses, so if you're petite like me and hoping to find something already hemmed, etc.: look no further! I already did it for you!!

No surprise here but the dress was worn only twice (by me, wedding day + a photoshoot day the next week) and cleaned professionally immediately afterward. There is no damage to it though the hem came into contact with dirt, grass, etc. briefly on its two days out in the world.

P.S. We had a wonderful wedding & nothing went wrong; honestly it was a miracle wedding day! We are still happily married and are coming up on our four year wedding anniversary! :) We recently moved and this dress has just been sitting in its case in the closet. I realized I'm not so sentimental as to keep it forever, so I might as well bless someone else with a fabulous dress and get a little cashola while I'm at it.

Straps shortened for a small frame.
Taken up for a 5' frame (I wore 3" heels with it).
Discreet button and loop added for bustle for dancing.
