The Dress

The Dakota is the most flattering dress I tried on and I tried on at least 50 dresses! It has a tulle and lace overlay in a gorgeous mermaid silhouette. With it's hidden corset it sucks you in in all the right places so that you feel incredible on your special day. It has a beautiful scalloped lace hem and a soft strapless neckline.The back has a trail of delicate buttons which add the perfect finish to the dress.

I bought the dress in a size 14 and had it altered - the had the top and waist taken in so I would say that its now a size 13. I went to an incredible alterer that I think really improved the dress - I had the neckline gathered ever so slightly to make it a sweetheart neckline. I found this a lot more flattering. I also had matching lace straps made. These are secured onto the dress but tuck away seamlessly. I chose to wear the straps for our ceremony and in the evening took them off for a more relaxed look. I had the hem taken in slightly, I'm 5.6 and wore 6 inch high heels. I also had hidden extras added to make the dress bustle. Little ribbons and clear clips that all worked together so that I could clip the whole train up for the evening - this was a lifesaver for dancing.

I had the dress professionally dry cleaned and the dress comes with a free hoop which I wore it make it easer to walk in. Happy for you to visit me in London to try it on.
