Katya Katya London, Aurelia SR-R15

Katya Katya's description of Aurelia is a unique silhouette that gently falls from the waist down creating a demure look. Hand-embellished Swarovski crystals sit on the waist finishing the perfect V-neck for a flattering neckline.

I simply love this dress. It has a lace back with fabric covered buttons up to the nape of the neck. This comes with a stretchy nude modal slip which hugs the body gently and creates a smooth outline. The slip is not attached to the dress which means that you could buy an another slip from Katya Katya (a white slip would give an even more bridal look, and they do various lovely colours like pink and green) or from somewhere else to mix up the look, or maybe have a different look for the evening.

This is the most comfortable dress I tried on by far. It was like wearing a soft lace nightdress!. Being petite in height, I had the sleeves taken up to three quarters which I think suits petite people better. I have a large bust and the vneck flatters it. The dress is gathered under the bust and falls gently which means it covers the tummy area with soft folds of lace which is very flattering. I felt like a princess and would choose it again today (let's hope I never have to!). It comes with the original Katya Katya white/ivory padded hanger and paper bag.

The dress was very fitted around the bust and hips, and it was very fitted on my 38inch bust and might look nice on a 34 or 36 inch bust as it would not be so tight. I wore sandals with a 4cm heel so of course the look would be similar as the photos for somebody who is 4cms taller than me wearing flats. I did consider having it taken up to tea dress length but my sandals weren't pretty enough (I have bunions and had to wear comfy sandals) but I can imagine this dress looking lovely on a taller person as a tea dress.

There are a few areas of wear near the hem of the dress which are shown in the photos. This happened when I walked through a garden of tall flowers and grass for photos. It might be that a seamstress can repair them so that they are not visible. As the dress ruffles at the hem it unlikely to show however they are there.
