Classic, elegant, and stunning. This wedding gown made me feel like a princess! It is made from Mikado fabric, a luxurious type of silk, and it is decorated with beaded lace appliques. The dress has a sweetheart neckline with off-the-shoulder sleeves which emphasize the beauty of the neck and shoulder line. Additionally, a cathedral-length train with scalloped edges is truly breathtaking and is “picture-perfect”. The gown feels comfortable on the body as the weight of the heavy dress is distributed evenly. I was in love with this dress as soon as I saw it, and I enjoyed every second of wearing it on my wedding day in August 2022. I received so many compliments from everyone, and even passers-by people told me that I looked beautiful. I do not want this gorgeous dress to just sit in my closet hidden from everyone’s eyes for years. Instead, I hope this wedding gown will have another chance to shine in the spotlight and make another bride feel stunning.

Alterations

  • A bustle was added (3 buttons at the back of the dress) which helps to lift the train and prevents the fabric from dragging on the floor (the presence of a bustle is necessary for a long train)
  • Cups have been added to the built-in bra for extra support and a light push-up effect
  • The off-the-shoulder straps were slightly tightened for a closer fit
  • The waist of the dress was taken in a bit for a tighter fit
  • Importantly, the length of the dress was not altered
