The dress was a size 8 and I'm a solid 10-12. The seamstress added 2 inches to the back with matching lace and it fit like a glove. There is a small train (shortened the original train length) that can be easily bustled. The sleeves are detachable with hooks. I wore the sleeves through the ceremony and removed them for our dance. The dress is beautiful with or without the sleeves. I had it professionally cleaned and it looks better than when I wore it. If interested, I can provide more photos.
