Classic and elegant, this gown is created with a timeless corded Alencon lace. The front bodice is lined to the side seams and has a tasteful plunging V-neckline. The stretch Mikado skirt elongates the body while the train features a stunning cutout detail with a scalloped eyelash hem lace and chapel-length train to complete the look. Covered buttons run down the length of the skirt. Even better yet, the dress has hidden pockets!
Matching detachable illusion sleeves are available separately as 88249SL and can be ordered for a completely different ceremony look. I do NOT have the sleeves for sale, but they are available for purchase through a bridal shop that carries Justin Alexander gowns, my seamstress said sleeves could be made to match as well.
On the Justin Alexander website, you will see this gown listed as a Ball gown. My very talented seamstress removed two layers of the tulle for an A-Line look. She said tulle would be easy and inexpensive to replace if that's the look you were going for. We were married at a bed and breakfast and the Ball gown felt too heavy and formal for my taste.
I am 5'6" and wore only a 1-inch heel, the dress was hemmed to that length.
Cups were also added to avoid finding a suitable bra.
I wore the dress for only four hours and had it professionally dry-cleaned for $150.
