Lela Rose, The Altar

This is The Altar dress by Lela Rose in a US size 8 - I purchased it in 2020, and it is still part of their main bridal collection today. It's a light ivory/nude tulle with lace overlay, a 'ballerina bodice', spaghetti straps and A-line tulle skirt with a train.

It fits fairly true to size, and has been slightly shortened to fit myself in 1" pumps (I'm 5'4", so with the shoes 5'5"). As you can see in the photos, it also has a small train - I found it easy to walk in, so I did not have the seamstress put in a bustle, but you could still have that alteration done if you wanted. I also had the seamstress put in light beige bra cups and replace the spaghetti straps before I wore it (for reference, I wear a 36B bra).

This dress is fairly lightweight and easy to move in, and I had a lot of fun wearing it. I also flew with it, and can confirm it folds easily into a carry-on suitcase and steaming it is very straightforward.

The only flaw I have found is slight fraying on the tulle on the back bodice, near the left side of the zipper/hook - it's not very noticeable unless you are looking for it, and easily covered by your hair or veil.

The dress has been dry cleaned and is ready to wear for your big day or events. I truly appreciate the happiness this dress has brought me, but now it's time for it to stop sitting in my closet and go on to make your big day as special as mine was.
