The iconic Cocotte by the late Dame Vivienne Westwood is a gown with great historical influence – the corset and neckline are inspired by fashionable high society women of the 18th century, and the draped fabric, which sweeps across the shoulders, drapes, and falls from the hip, is reminiscent of ancient Greek statues. This dress fits tight to the body as it has a built-in corset.
This dress was worn only for a few short hours on my wedding day (I wore a different dress for dancing) and was professionally dry-cleaned immediately after the day. There are a few (very minor) snags on the dress from wearing during the day.
