The Dress

Hello,

I got married in Thailand earlier this year & I had this dress made for me. At first I had my heart set on a Grace Loves Lace style dress - as I wanted something super comfortable & not structured. However after trying several on I felt that the entire bodycon look was not actually that flattering - especially on my bottom from every angle!

I also loved Chiara Ferragni's wedding dress by Dior & Paris Hiltons dress by Oscar De La Renta - the tight fitted top, and the skirt that billows out and is sheer.

I also loved the idea of a mini-dress.... so after lots of trials & research myself & a Wedding Dress Maker came up with my dress. It is made up of a long sleeve, high neck mini dress which is soft & fitted (stretch) skin colour material with lace over the top. Then their is an attachment of a Long skirt ~ made up of the same lace that is all over the mini-dress & two layers of soft chiffon to give it some shape & a beautiful billowing effect when walking.

It's amazing as its two looks in one - you have long skirt to give you such an elegant look when walking down the aisle & for the ceremony. Then when the party hits later you can remove the skirt & you have a lace mini-dress. The long skirt can also be made to open more at the front if you want to show your legs, or not!

Even though it is long sleeve & high neck the dress is extremely lightweight ~ as I was getting married in Thailand in January I knew it would be hot so needed something that I would feel comfortable in.

My dress size for the wedding would have been a 8 (with a slightly larger chest area) so would recommend the dress for that sizing. The mini dress does have stretch in it. The skirt is done up by buttons so you could easily take the waist in or out if needed.

Mini Dress -

Tailor made out of a light French lace. The high neck buttons up at the back. There is skincoloured stretch material on the front part of the dress & the miniskirt - to hide anything, but also give the illusion of lace on skin over the entire dress. It is extremely comfortable & easy to move in. The back is cut out which is a beautiful statement, and also lovely & light. The sleeves have gorgeous lace cuffs which match the high neck collar. The sleeves are also slightly puffed up on the shoulders to give a little bit of structure to your shape.

Skirt Attachment -

The skirt is made out of the same French Lace as the dress. It has a layer of skirt underneath it to give it a fuller feeling, and give it a ripple effect when walking. The skirt has a train at the back, and sewn onto the train are 3D applique flowers for a wow effect. The skirt has a slit down the centre so you can choose whether you want to show a bit of leg, or if you want to keep it closed. I did both for different looks! The skirt was tailored so it goes higher at the front so you can show off your shoes when walking (plus its also a lot easier to walk when its not so low you almost trip!)

I absolutely loved my dress, and have had so many compliments about it. After looking at the prices of wedding dresses in the shops it seemed a no-brainer to make my own & know it was completely individual.
