Luna Bea, La Lune

La Lune is the signature gown from independent UK based designer, Luna Bea. La Lune was made by hand, from 100% chemical free silk. Wearing it was a dream! The silk is perfection – it feels buttery soft on your skin and because it’s so breathable and lightweight (but also has long sleeves) it is ideal for a summer or winter wedding. I wore it for my July 2022 wedding in Ireland. The way the silk flows when you move is just magnificent. I will be so sad to part with my beautiful wedding dress but it is too lovely not to be enjoyed and loved by another bride.

The dress is a US size 8, though could fit a US size 6 as the inside button can easily be moved to tighten or loosen the fit. I am 5ft 3″ and my heels were 3.5″ – the front of the dress just touched the floor. There is a very fine French lace panel at the back of the dress which could easily be removed if preferred.

There are so many beautiful elements of the La Lune gown – billowing sleeves with buttoned cuffs, deep v-back, silk wings which drape from shoulders (these can be left loose for a flowing style, knotted at the back or wrapped around the front), long train (inverted v), wrap style with easily moveable buttons for a tighter or looser fit, front slit.

Gown has only been worn once and it was professionally dry cleaned the day after the wedding. It is in perfect condition and currently being stored in an silk organza garment bag.
