The Dress

This dress was so beautiful to wear! Simple, elegant, minimal, modern.

The designer Floravere is not in business anymore, but their style was beautiful when I bought it. It is a classic fit and flare off-white crepe that has V neck front and back and a "chapel" length train. The dress fit nearly perfectly right out of the box. It was tailored a little, but it was extremely minimal changes, mostly adjusting the length to work for my height (5'6" and I wore it without heels).

I felt gorgeous in it, and it was simple to wear! No fancy undergarments needed, I didn't need a bra, the material was thick enough to support with the seaming and no show through. There is a high side slit, and the train has a wrist loop built in so that it's easy to carry or dance in. We did an elopement with no reception party after, so this dress has only been worn during my afternoon ceremony and walking around before and after, although it was worn on a sandy river site so the bottom did need to be cleaned. I had it professionally dry cleaned right after, and have been holding onto it since, always with the intention to give to another bride!

Alterations

Minimal alterations for precise fit, I think the straps were tightened a bit but I don't recall anything else in the upper portion (my bra side is 34DD). The length was hemmed to my height.
