The Dress

I absolutely loved my dress and hope it will make another bride feel just as beautiful and comfortable on her wedding day!

My dress is custom made from Winnie Couture in a standard size 4 which was altered since the size 4 was slightly big on me in the bust, waist and hips - see all the alterations below. The custom portion was a deep mesh V neck in the front of the gown that I had them add to the original design. The off shoulder arm straps are removable (they button to the dress from the inside) or you can wear them as straps over your shoulder - I loved having the option of wearing them draped off my shoulder for pictures and the ceremony and then removing them for the reception and dancing portion of the night. The dress has a sparkly layer under the first layer on the bottom half of the gown so it gives a nice little sparkle without overdoing it.

Condition: Very good. Dress has been dry-cleaned. There is a small (1cm) tear on one side of the deep V where the mesh tore away from the bodice/right cup which should be an easy fix (picture #7). The outer layer of tulle tore slightly away from the loops for the bustle (the loops were attached to all 3-4 layers of the dress so still attached to 2-3 layers and works just fine) on 2 out of like 8 or 10 loops (picture #8). It is very small - nobody noticed it except for my maid of honor who noticed it when she was practicing buttoning up my bustle before the ceremony and it is an easy fix to gather up that outer tulle and sew it back to the base of the bustle loop.

Alterations

Dress has been hemmed - I am 5' 4.5" and wore 3.5" heels. I had cups placed which are easy to remove if needed but added some nice shape and cleavage for me with the mesh deep V in the front. Boning was added to both sides of the bodice along the side seam (dress originally just came with boning in the front) to help hold the bodice up - it was really helpful in prevented me from having to keep pulling the bodice up all night and looks really pretty. I also had a bustle placed - all buttons and loops are intact. I had the bodice and the area around the hips taken in as well (see measurements above).
