This dress was inspired by Gothic fairytales. Sadie designed a gorgeous vintage-inspired dress with red, maroon, and deep green flowers embroidered (cut from a gorgeous Sari and hand-embroidered by Sadie) on the shoulders and around the waist to create a tapered line. The sleeves have high cuffs with button details, creating slightly pugged sleeves, and the back has a deep V with button details as well. The dress has pockets—and for our wedding, Sadie sewed blue hearts made from fabric from both our dad's shirts—as our something blue and to be able to reach for them when needed (as they had both passed on). I felt like an actual queen in this dress—it was comfortable and beautiful. I wish I could wear it every day, but rather than have it sit in a box in the cupboard, I would love it if it brought someone else joy on their special day as well!
