Cecilia is based on our very beloved Jane Gown. A strapless Silk Crepe gown with shine, an interior corset structure, and a generous train.
Also made a scarf out of the same silk as the dress for an accessory.
If you are shorter than 5’7”, this would be ideal so that you can hem the bottom an inch everywhere and it would be good as new at the bottom!
Only other flaws would be a tiny mark under the arm (shown in photo) and where the bustle is assembled, you can see the stitch a little where it pulled.
Tiny runs in the silk but honestly, you sneeze in this fabric and you nick it. SOOOOO delicate.

- Added a waist stay which helped keep the dress up
- Did NOT take any in on the waist
- Pulled the front draping a little tighter than the original design
- Added a bustle
- Added darts to the side of bust so that it sat tighter to my chest
