The Dress

Beautiful custom-made Bridal Melody gown. The dress is simply classic, elegant and stunning, worn for my wedding in Feb 2024.

Bridal Melody is a direct manufacturer that I contacted to design the dress, they also get contacted by big designers to design and create dresses for them. With the amount of material on this dress, I was able to get it made with top quality fabric at a fraction of the price. Check out the video to see the dressmaking process.

The design was inspired by Mariana Hardwick’s Chantelle dress as I tried it in store. I’d always imagined myself in a tight fitting dress so I added an overskirt that I could peel off before the reception so I could dance the night away! I was able to get the best of both worlds, a princess and a tight fitting wedding dress! Got lots of compliments and guests were asking if I was wearing two dresses as they were two completely different looks.

Features:
- Crafted beautifully with british satin-silky and silky lining both in white.
- The pointed sweetheart neckline adds a modern twist to the classic sweetheart neckline but also showing cleavage.
- Fabric overlaps for a glamorous ruched effect, adding more texture to the dress.
- Elegant leg split to create a feminine yet sexy bridal look.
- There are bridal buttons near the zipper to compliment your back.
- Slight train on dress - approx 25cm, short enough to be able to dance
- A dramatic overskirt that hooks and buttons onto the dress with a full approx. 1m train. It also has a wrist loop.

I’m a size 8-10. I buy size 10 clothes for a more comfy fit and my boob size is a big 10B, small 10C.
My measurements:
Bust - 88cm
Waist - 79cm
Hips - 95cm
I am 168cm and wore 6.5cm heels - 174cm.

Alterations

After I received it, needed further alterations to cinch me in and the train on the dress was made shorter to approx 25cm.
