I chose the ‘Kennedy’ gown from Hearts Aflutter in London because it’s so beautiful and romantic but also easy and natural to wear and move in. I have boobs, but the corset created great support, with no bra needed. The lacing of the back is so pretty and also very comfortable. It is a Matte Duchess Satin ballgown with a square neckline bustier and boning detail in the top and a laced corset back. The ballerina skirt has 4 layers: smooth satin on top, 2 layers of tulle petticoats under that, then a cotton layer underneath, which all makes the skirt move brilliantly. I felt wonderful in the dress, is was also amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. It came with a long train which we removed to create a circular skirt. This made it much easier to move and to dance! It also means you can easily shorten the skirt if you want to (I am quite tall). The current length from the waist to the hem is 45 inches. You could easily add sheer sleeves too. I was thrilled with the dress, the fabric and the shape were both really beautiful and romantic.
