Halfpenny London

This is the Halfpenny London Jackson strapless asymmetric duchesse-satin gown. It is a classic, timeless gown that photographs beautifully. The material is gorgeous, there are hidden pockets in the dress, and it is extremely comfortable. I wore 4-inch heels (Jimmy Choo Romy Ivory Satin) but could have worn flats, if desired. Because of the high-low design, you can wear any sort of shoe and avoid alterations!

I went to multiple bridal salons, but I wasn’t sold on any one dress that made me want to spend SO much money. This dress gave me everything I wanted without the super expensive price. I couldn’t have been happier with this dress, and hope someone else can find love with it (instead of having it hang in my closet for 50 years).

I only wore this dress for my ceremony and couple photos (the place I had dinner at didn’t allow wedding dresses!), so it’s only been worn for an hour and a half – max two hours. The dress is flawless, with only a couple minor spots under the train that got there from walking outside for photos; however, these slight spots are not visible when wearing the dress. I will happily share photos of the bottom of the dress if you are interested.

I purchased the dress from Net-A-Porter in the summer of 2023. The dress is still available on the website if you have a desire to see the dress online, which also shows the sizing guide. I purchased the UK 0 (which is currently unavailable). I found the dress to be true to size. I wear a 00 or 0 in bottoms and always an XXS-XS in tops, US sizing.

I am including the veil pictured above for no additional cost. This was from Anthropologie, the Paris by Debra Moreland Floating Cathedral Veil, and cost $300. There is a small rip at the bottom of the veil (happened during couple photos), which could be cut out and the veil would still be much longer than the dress train. I can send photos if you would like to see the minor damage.
