Parting with my coveted Sheridan dress. The gown is altered to 5’2!

I felt like a princess with perfect abs and an hourglass figure. The fabric is thick and durable with a gorgeous sheen that highlights the pleating perfectly and makes you look like you are gracefully floating around. The drop waist is my favorite touch and the top has boning that is slimming, supportive, and very comfortable. After a $300 dry cleaning, the train is spotless and the dress looks like it hasn’t been worn!

This style is no longer sold and hard to replicate!

Alterations

The gown is altered to 5’2 (I am 5’0 and wore 2” heels), including trimming train for proportions
I shortened the straps about an inch and a half
I added stronger clips on the back band for security and extended it to 29 inches (similar to bra band size)
I chose a simple bustle with single connection point at bottom of zipper/decorative buttons as shown in last photo
It brings the train seamlessly to the back of the gown
Bustle can be easily removed at home
