Sassi Holford, Bronte

The Bronte dress from Sassi Holford features a matte crepe bodice with an elegant bateau neckline, low scoop back and deep waistband. It has statement ruffle shoulders and a column skirt with a ruffle inset train. The sleeves and train are made of a statement 3D petal affect in a delicate crepe material. I had a French bustle fitted so that the dress can be worn in the evening for dancing. The dress is made of beautiful fabric, and very easy to wear, being light and comfortable despite the train. The back is low and features fabric buttons to fasten. I am an average size 10, I had it taken in a little around the hips and waist closer to the wedding date. I am 5 foot 6 in height and wore with a medium heel (heel height approximately 8cm). The dress was very flattering, emphasising curves without being really tight or too structured, and it was really easy to move about and dance in. There is built in padding in the bust area and the waist band is very supportive, so it can easily be worn without a bra. The dress was worn once for my December wedding, it has been professionally hand-cleaned by a wedding dress service (the crepe material/relief sleeves are not suitable for standard dry-cleaning). All of the marks have been removed, if you look very closely at the front hem there is a slight discolouration on the bottom few mm, but it is not noticeable once the dress is on.
