Kate Gubanyi, Arnabel

Kate Gubanyi brand Arnabel dress (with alterations and additions below) purchased in Australia in 2023.
- Stunning off-white A-Line textured lace sweetheart strapless dress with *detachable straps* custom made for the dress. Perfect for the pear-shaped bride this dress is fitting in the bust and waist, and free flowing from the waist down.
- The dress is layered with six layers, with the top two layers consisting of a sheer textured lace with 3D floral details hand-stitched all over. The bottom layers made of a lightweight off-write tule.
E boning and corset V-waist slim and shape the upper body and the gorgeous flirty Aline skirt features a very on-trend split (has been altered to be higher). A layered, flowing train follows with a built-in bustle* for when you're ready to dance.
- The back of the dress is boned exposing your back with a sheer panel cover and layered from top to bottom with beautiful feature-only buttons all the way down (hiding a rear zip so you don't need to undo or do up the buttons).

The overall cost of the dress including alterations and additions was $4,500.

Alterations
Alterations that were made to the dress:

This dress was the size 14 Arnabel dress from Kate Gubanyi, however was altered to a street size 12 with the following alterations made:
- bust taken in to 95cm
- waist taken in to 78cm
- hemmed to suit 183cm tall (I am 174cm and wore 9cm heels)
- split raised 3cm
- sheer layered detachable off the shoulder straps with hand-stitched floral features (made from the off-cuts of the top layer of dress when hemmed) attached/detached by hidden snap closers inside the bust and back of the dress.
- hidden bustle at the rear of the dress mid-back (note, the bustle fixing needs to be repaired but can be done easily by alterations person - see last photo).
- nude breast cups replaced with white cups
- sheer bust panel covered on inside with off-white layer (so you can't see skin at the bust and waist)
