The Dress

This wedding dress is the Darly style by Rosa Clara from the 2022 Aire Barcelona collection. Matching veil also by Rosa Clara that is made for the dress is included.

I bought this dress in April 2023, it has been professionally cleaned and beautifully altered by Monique lhuillier’s former seamstress.  This dress is absolutely stunning. Unique and Glamorous, yet Classic and Elegant.  The dress is Sexy with its plunging neckline and open back, yet tasteful with the light white netting leaving the cleavage a suggestion rather than a focus.  Similarly, the v-netting under the arms creates a slimming silhouette.  

The most Unique aspect of the dress is the feather shoulder flare that is a subtle Showstopper.  My guests couldn’t stop talking about it! It’s such a special standout that really sets the dress apart and puts it in a league of its own.

Not to be out-done, the train is remarkable, especially with the matching veil. You really get your dramatic moment with the veil and train flowing, and then your family can quickly button the French-style bustle to hold it up for dancing all night.  

Please note, I had the train shortened slightly, yet it is still quite long and with the same dramatic effect.  If you look at the last photo you can see there is a line of lace in the middle of the train. I had it shortened to that line so it was a natural break in the train and looks fabulous. The veil was adjusted to match so it falls just outside the train so that all the beautiful lace gets its well-deserved spotlight. You can see it’s still very long in photos 5 and 6.

Finally, the reason I chose this dress was the intricate crystal beading.  The chevron/ leaf pattern frames your decollete and back.  The overall image contains lovely, yet hardy Spanish lace.

Alterations

Professionally altered by Monique Lhuillier’s former seamstress. Hemmed, straps adjusted, cups changed from white to nude so that you couldn’t see them. Train shortened and veil adjusted to fit perfectly.
