The dress is made of tulle, which has been hand painted, hand embroidered and beaded. Carolina Herrera used stones in many shapes and sizes - round, teardrop, oval and rectangular cut stones, tiny cut beads, chalk sequins and mother of pearl palettes are intricately dispersed throughout the design. This particular gown was inspired by the painting by Franz Xavier Winterhalter, an artist often commissioned by royalty in the 1800's. The painting is a portrait of the Empress Elizabeth of Austria 1865.
It's truly a work of art .....
The dress is Ivory and alterations were made to the dress with details provided. The dress is fitted at the waist and the measurements are bust 33-34' and waist 28(I normally wear US size 4-6 if this helps)
The original retail price for this dress was USD 12,000. I bought it used in therealreal and wore it for 2 hours for a ceremony. I am including the veil. I hope someone else will be able to love it too.
