About the Dress

As soon as my now husband proposed, my first thought was I AM WEARING A GALIA DRESS!!
It was absolutely worth the money and made me feel like the bride I always dreamt of being.

It is a romantic mermaid shape dress with a draped v-neckline and an accentuated trumpet-shaped skirt with a low back and rouched detail at the bum. The dress is made from delicately embroidered lace with 3D flowers in light shades of blush and ivory. The dress has lots of delicate and beautiful beading especially on the flowers. The body has a very thin sheer mesh panel that can't be seen at all when worn, but holds you in place.

I am always a size 8, and this dress is apparently a size 12, I was told when buying that they come up very small. It is very stretchy mesh and has a bodysuit inside which keeps the bra cups in place and makes you feel secure and comfortable.

I did not have any alterations to change the fit of the dress as it fit be perfectly due to the stretch, but I did shorten it slightly, I am 5'8 and wore heels. I added a bustle loop to the back of the dress under the bum so that it could be hooked on when dancing if needed. I also had the bows taken off and put onto delicate special bridal safety pins which are more discrete, so that I had the option to take them off for the ceremony when wearing a veil, and put them back on afterwards, I felt that this gave two different looks very subtly!
