This custom-made Melanie Jayne gown features a full billowing skirt with multiple layers of silky underskirt and built in fabric hooped crinoline. The skirt is made of hundreds of tulle squares individually sown on the bias to give volume, movement and a touch of sparkle. The whimsical skirt is complemented by a simple bodice featuring a romantic sweetheart neckline and a classic corset back for an impeccable fit.
The skirt is made up of the tulle layer, an underskirt, a second underskirt and the crinoline layer is against the skin. As our wedding was on a farm, the second underskirt is marked at the rear of the dress, however this is not visible when the dress is worn. As the marked section is located between the top layer of underskirt and the crinoline layer, it can be removed if desired.
