Spring 2009 Cecilia Gown by Carolina Herrera. Purchased and altered at Ultimate Bride in Chicago for my March 2010 wedding.
This gown is gently fitted to the hip and then has a slight a-line skirt. Asymmetrical details include a rose on one strap and ruffles down the bodice and skirt.
There is a small train that is bustled in the photos.
This is a really unique and beautiful dress - I just love the asymmetry and crinkled Habotai silk fabric.
This dress is in excellent condition for its age! The only small flaws are some normal discoloration at the top of the bodice and a small smudge in the back that is barely noticeable. I expect these issues would easily resolve with a quality, professional cleaning.
I did not have this dress cleaned because I had a destination wedding where my dress was shipped to the site and, as I live in Fairbanks, Alaska, there is simply not a cleaner here that I trust with this important of an item.
It has been stored in the original garment bag and the fabric is as soft as it was on my wedding day.
