If you are looking for a timeless ballgown dress, then I would look no further! The dress is stunning, and you will receive so many compliments on your special day. The benefit of the dress is its light weight for being a ballgown dress. The dress was purchased directly from the Monique Lhuillier store in West Hollywood. It is the Alexandra model in size 8, I ordered the dress white on white. I have added the size chart. The dress cost $8,900 before tax, $9,759 after tax. I also paid $2,500 in alteration. Which comes out to $12,256. The only alteration I did was to shorten the dress, add a bustle, and added 2 more boning to the corset since the original once were very soft. I have a small breast, but we did not do any alterations for this as I would have looked very flat. During my alteration, they instead sold me Boomba inserts instead which I wore at the day of the wedding. The inserts were great and it nicely filled up the cup. The dress has a corset built in which gives you a very nice shape. Since the corset bones are very soft, during my alterations i asked to add 2 more bones that were sturdier so the corset would keep a better shape. I paid $800 for this, and its easily removed. The other alteration was to shorten the dress. My dress was altered to fit 5’7 (I’m 5’3 and wore 4inch heels during alteration). They do not alter the train so that will stay the same size.
