The Dress

The Justin Alexander "Allegra" wedding dress features a strapless sweetheart neckline and a slim silhouette with exposed boning, a Chantilly underlay, and contemporary leafy beaded appliqués that cascade down the tulle skirt. It's finished with tulle covered buttons down the back of the bodice and a lightweight sweep length train.

The dress has only been worn once - on my wedding day this summer – and is in great condition. I loved the modern corset design at the top, with a classic sweetheart neckline and sophisticated A-line skirt that makes it like the perfect fusion of sexy, contemporary and classy/traditional. The leafy beaded details are beautiful without being too OTT. The dress was very flattering, but the fact that it wasn't skin-tight around the tummy meant that I could eat, drink, relax and enjoy my day without worrying about bloating etc.

I would also throw in the shoes I wore free of charge. These are Monsoon ivory block heel bow sandals, which I bought for £100. I have them in both size 6 (unworn), and in size 7 (which I wore on my wedding day, but are still in good condition). Happy to share some pictures.

Alterations

The dress has had some alterations - the bodice/corset was taken in slightly, and the skirt made slightly less full/more A-line style, so that it was more flattering and skimmed my hips. The dress was originally a size 8 but, following the alterations, is now more like a size 6.
