I purchased this dress from a local boutique in June 2024. I’ve had a dramatic amount of weight loss (105 pounds) and will need to purchase a new dress instead of altering this one. This is a SAMPLE off-the-rack dress that has quite a bit of wear. Full Disclosure on Defects: It needs some beading work done on the shoulder straps as many of the beads fell off during try ons at the shop. It needs a new zipper (dress zips but gets stuck occasionally) There’s a hole under the zipper that needs to be sewn. Zipper area needs a few replacement buttons Cleaning needed on the strap area from continued use of clips in the bridal shop. (There are some black marks from the clips on the fabric) There’s a small hole in the mesh panel between the bust cups that may need to be replaced (depending on your comfort level). The floral appliqué may need to be repaired in many places and there are some loose threads from those pieces that need to be trimmed. When I purchased the dress (as-is) the shop gave me extra fabric and beading to help alter the dress. These will be included with your purchase along with the hanger and garment bag provided to me by the shop. The retail price for this dress was $3800.00 plus tax and is from Isabella Talya’s “Blessed” collection. The dress has NEVER been altered and if taken to an amazing seamstress, will look INCREDIBLE. (Which is what my original plan was when purchased). I’m just down too many dress sizes to maintain the structure and integrity of the dress at alterations time. My loss is your gain! Snag a designer dress for over half price! The sales receipt said that it was a size 52 which is a US bridal dress size 20. I was a street dress size 14/16 at the time of purchase. My height and weight at purchase was 5’5” (without shoes) and 228 lbs. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
