Moira Hughes, The Jude

This dress made me feel confident and wrapped in luxury on my wedding day. The duchess satin is a thick fabric with a soft glossiness (I wore it in late August in NYC and I did not feel hot wearing the dress).

The corset and ruching at the waist line were extremely flattering and gave me curves I never knew I had. I was looking for a flattering sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves for a romantic look and this dress hit all of my requirements.

While minimal, the cut and quality of the dress are top notch and you will get gasps when walking down the aisle! The designer recommended Hollywood waves and a dressier veil (pearls or lace, I went with a pearl veil cathedral length) and felt elegant, sexy, yet chic all at once.

About "The Jude Gown" by Moira Hughes:
- Duchess satin gown with sculpting dropped waist corset made to standard dress size US 4 (AU 8); I was measured right in between a US size 4/6 (AU size 8/10).
- Side Split located on the left side (this can be easily lowered with alterations if preferred); in full transparency, I had it lowered than the original design and probably could have had it lowered further since it was too high up for my liking when I sat down - it was fine since no one could see my legginess under the table, but something worth considering - I'm also 5'11" so depending on height, it may be just to your liking!
- Sweetheart neckline with off-the-shoulder-sleeves (there was enough space to move arms and do twirls when dancing)
- Zip Opening at low V-shaped back
- Dress has a train and can be bustled (Bustle is French style - see photo #6; I'm happy to send recording on how to bustle this dress)

Professionally dry-cleaned and preserved in bridal keep safe box. Wedding dress also comes with original Moira Hughes garment bag and hanger.

Note: I originally traveled with the dress from Australia to NYC in my carry on and only had to steam from the waist down - material is naturally thick so doesn't get wrinkled easily.
