The Nova Cocotte is a gown with great historical influence, first designed for the Autumn-Winter 2005/06 Vive La Cocotte collection. The corset and neckline are inspired by fashionable high society women of the 18th-century – which sweeps across the shoulders and cinches at the waist. The skirt falls from the hip in a soft slim A-line, folding and flowing delicately to create a drape reminiscent of ancient Greek statues.

I loved this dress so much. It was so comfortable and beautiful and I felt great the whole day. I can’t recommend it enough. I hope another bride has as much fun in it as I did!! I tried on many other dresses as I was looking for something cheaper, but after I tried this on there was no going back. It’s so flattering!

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is in good condition. There are a couple of snags in the fabric which I’ve shown in the pictures - I think they’re from the cleaning. Not noticeable unless you’re looking up close!

I’ve put this as a 14 street size, which is true based on my hip measurements. However the corset might be closer to a 12, VW runs a little small usually. If you have a bigger bust it might be tight on you!
