About the Dress

I feel in love with this dress but ultimately didn’t have time to alter it once it came in a bit late. It’s a lovely strapless (with very supportive corset) sheath dress in 100% silk from Alexandra Grecco. It’s very timeless and elegant but still a very fun and modern vibe … and is actually so comfortable. I fell in love with the flow of the dress and the way the silk glistens in light. Truly such an incredible dress. Alexandra Grecco also sells a silk matching scarf (picture included) that would be so so so pretty with the dress and have a super ethereal feel. It’s brand new, only put on twice and has the AG garment bag included. This was sent to me on November 2024 so truly it is brand new.

As discussed in the alterations section, I ordered this in a 6/12 split to add a bit more flow and movement to the dress. I am a true 6 and the top is still big on me, but like with any wedding dress and especially a strapless dress, you will need to get it altered perfectly so it’s supportive! In my opinion the 12 on the bottom fits very very very similar to the size 8 sample dress I tried on, so if you are worried about it being too big, it definitely wont look that way at all. The split size adds a bit more of an hourglass and very flattering shape so if you have concern about a true sheath not being flattering that may help out (at least thats how I felt)!

Alterations

The dress is a split size (6 at the top and 12 at the bottom (though it doesn’t fit much larger than the sample 8 at the bottom). I did this to add a bit more flow to the dress because of my shape. I think it overall adds more shape and flow to the dress and makes it feel more formal and dressy! I started alterations but the only thing done was opening the back right seam (so not even a real alteration and that will be done in any alterations anyway).
