Charlie Brear, Seraphine

This bespoke dress is constructed from Charlie Brear's 'Seraphine' strapless, boned bodice and split skirt from the same collection. They have been sewn together to create this one-of-a-kind dress with overlying satin belt. The outfit is completed with the addition of Jesus Peiro detachable sleeves. These have been modified to include a snap fastening so the sleeves can be securely fitted to the dress, while still having the option of removing them easily. The sleeves are connected to one another by a delicate gold and pearl chain providing detail to the back of the outfit.

The bodice has a plunge detail but is fitted and secure. The skirt resembles a column fit and the addition of a left leg split means it isn't overly clingy or tight, making it really comfortable and easy to move in, as well as flattering. There is a small train which includes an internal bustle for dancing.

The outfit has been altered and constructed by a reputable atelier. To help with sizing I am 5ft 6.5inch (and I wore 4 inch heels on my wedding day), I am usually a size 8 top and between a size 8-10 on my hips. The dress has has an internal waist band added for extra support which can be removed. Without the internal waist band the waist measurement is 66.5cm, the internal waist band has two options which can be moved (see picture), currently with the tightest hook the wait measurement is 62.5cm, with the loosest hook 64cm. The bust measurement is around 87cm.

The dress is in good condition, it has been professionally dry cleaned- there are some minor stains mainly on the train of the dress (mostly underside) with very mild pulls (I have tried to capture these on the video). If a shorter person was to have the dress altered to their size, these marks are likely to be cut off completely. There is some slight bobbling to the underlining due to the satin material but this cannot be seen once the dress is on.
