The most stunning gown needs to be worn more than once.
I got this from the Riki Dalal flagship store in London in 2020, my wedding (in Italy) was cancelled 3 times and we finally got there in 2024. I was as in love with the dress as much as I was the first time I tried it on and miraculously I stayed the same size.
The dress was actually made to measure but there is a label inside saying 40, I’m not sure what that’s about but is why I’ve ticked that the label size is a 12. I am very much a size 10. I am 5 ft 7inches and wore 3.5 inch heels. I weigh 67kg (just as a guide for size) and my bra size is 34C. I obviously can measure hips etc on request.
The dress has 4 layers to it, that go between cream, ivory and white to give an overall 3d effect of a lovely clean white. I chose to have buttons added to cover the back zipper as I didn’t love the look of seeing the zip, I do believe a good seamstress could remove these without mark if it was preferred.
After my wedding, I had the dress professionally cleaned and boxed by MyDressBox for safe storage for all of the intricate layers. Photos 5 and 7 show how well the layers have come up and how well it’s been packaged. It’s in pristine condition, the only flaw that I really had to search for are a couple of small spots of the palest peach, these are hidden behind flowers as shown in picture 8. Like I said I had to search really hard to find this! If interested I can send a video or do a FaceTime to show the dress in all lights to be clear how minimal they are; I just don’t want to say they don’t exist. It’s quite probable another clean would get them out, I think they are so small they would have been missed by the cleaner.
Lastly the dress is currently in Perth Western Australia where I live half the year but I regularly return to London and can take the dress to there.
