The Galaxy Cape is a new interpretation of the Galaxy dress, which was originally created for the red carpet, featuring a cinched waist and draped neckline inspired by the classic Vivienne Westwood Ball Tie gown. The gown is created in pearl white FSC-certified crepe satin, with a contrasting silk georgette drape across the décolletage, certified as organic, and 18th-century Watteau style train for added drama.
I purchased the dress in 2023 and wore it once for my June 2024 wedding day. Since then, the dress and cape have both gone through museum-quality cleaning and restoration services. I purchased the dress in a UK 8/US 4 and got minimal alterations.
