Custom Gown, Custom Made

Ivory silk, bias cut wedding gown, size AU8. Made by couture seamstress in Melbourne.

Fabric: 100% Silk Charmeuse, fully lined in acetate, 3 layers.
Colour: Ivory

- The gorgeous ivory silk is heavy in weight and has two layers of lining, so it was so smoothing and flattering on the body. Hem is finished with a roll edge. This dress was custom made for me, but as the gown is bias cut, the hip will fit measurements from 94 through to 100cm. Side seams and centre back seam also allow for alterations.

- Invisible zip closure at centre back, and it has hidden ties to pull the beautiful train up and out of the way for dancing. I'm 5'6 without shoes. I originally had it made to wear higher heels, but then got it hemmed when I decided to wear lower heels so it would just kiss the ground . I also changed into sneakers to dance!

I wore this dress as my reception dress for only a few hours. It is the most comfortable dress, so easy to dance in and I adored every second in it. Dress was dry cleaned day after the wedding. Still some very small marks on the bottom and underside of the train, that are so faint you can only see this if you inspect very closely. Otherwise, the dress is in near-perfect condition! Happy to send photos of the barely there marks, but it's nothing the naked eye (or camera) would catch.
