About the Dress

I’m selling my Monique Lhuillier Kate wedding dress, and I would love to pass it along to another bride to wear- hopefully it will make you feel as gorgeous as I did on my wedding day. I wore it for my destination wedding in Mexico a month ago and honestly, it was the perfect dress—comfortable, flattering, and made me feel amazing. It's also light weight and easy to dance in.

While I wore it for a tropical wedding, it would be perfect for any wedding style, whether it’s a beach, garden, or more formal setting. It’s in great condition (I had it professionally cleaned), and I actually had it tailored to fit on the longer side so it can accommodate up to 5'7 (depending on heels). It's light weight and flowy! I wore 2 inch heels and it was definitely on the ground - how I wanted it to be. For reference, I'm typically a size 2.

Alterations

I had the dress altered to elongate the waist so that It better replicated the feeling I had when trying on the sample (naturally it was a bigger size but I wanted the exact same look since it was perfection.) I am 5'5 and wore 2 inch heels day of but had it altered on the longer side, they also made the back of the dress longer and extended the veil length for added drama. It doesn't have a long train, but I made it have more of one.
