The arm drapes can be tied as a halter neck or under the arm for the evening for a strapless look.”

I bought this as a sample at the halfpenny sample sale in January 2024 as it was my dream dress, and had it professionally dry cleaned. Never worn only tried on.

It is a pure silk crepe in Halfpenny shade Ivory (more of a traditional ivory than an off white).

It is a halfpenny size 2 and fits true to size for a UK10, although has stretch to the corset so I would say it would fit from a large 8 to a small 12. Beautiful internal corsetry so it stays up amazingly well and makes you feel snatched and secure.

I’ve changed my wedding plans and lost weight so it very sadly no longer fits me but I’d love for someone else to get to wear this for their special day. I’ve had no alterations done so it is still very long. There’s some marks to the bottom of the train (as pictured) but it will need shortening for most under 5’10 anyway so this could be removed. There’s some discolouration at the back fastening and under where your arms sit as pictured. As pictured there’s a tiny mark to the bodice on the front that you can’t see when worn due to draping, as well as a couple of lose threads around the back fastening (please see pictures), which could be easily fixed at alterations with a ‘hook and eye’ adding etc.
