Vivienne Westwood 'Nova Cocotte' Bridal Gown – A Masterpiece of Modern Romance
Widely considered one of the most breathtaking wedding dresses in the world, the Nova Cocotte by Vivienne Westwood is pure couture magic. This gown is proof that the brand’s iconic corsetry is truly unmatched—sculpting, flattering, and empowering in all the right places.
Crafted from sumptuous heavy silk satin, the Nova Cocotte features a dramatic off-shoulder neckline, a structured bodice, and a soft draped bustier that melts into a full-length silhouette. With a concealed zip at the back, it’s as comfortable as it is striking. A true showstopper that’s graced red carpets and wedding aisles alike—worn by the likes of Georgia Fowler, Demi Lovato, and Miley Cyrus.
Quick Details:
Alterations: The front hem was slightly shortened to suit my height (164cm without shoes), but my seamstress thoughtfully left extra fabric tucked into the hem so it can easily be let back down. I also added 3–4 discreet pin-tucks to the bust drape, giving it a deliciously buttery texture. These can be removed if you prefer the original smooth draping.
Shoes Worn: I paired the gown with Jimmy Choo Saeda heels for reference.
Condition: Worn for only two hours before changing into a second dress. The gown has been professionally dry cleaned and is in excellent condition, boxed with care and ready to make another bride’s dream come true.
Size: I was a true AU size 8 at the time, and the gown fit like it was made for me. The corseted bodice is snug and supportive—no bra needed.
Fabric & Colour: Heavy silk satin in a timeless ivory/off-white shade that flatters all skin tones.
This dress is truly special and deserves to be worn and loved again. If you'd like more photos or videos, I’m more than happy to provide them—just reach out!

Alterations
- I had this dress taken up at the front, however asked the seamstress to leave excess fabric in the hem in case I resold and the future owner wanted to take the length down
- I also pin tucked the top bustier drape in about 3-4 areas (which gives it that buttery look) - If you don't like this, you could take the tucks out
