BACKGROUND
I bought this as a sample dress from Jana Ann Couture down in San Diego, California. I ended up buying a different dress and never wore this one outside of taking pictures. I bought this dress on sale for $1500, which I thought was a great price considering their normal price range.

STRUCTURE
It is an A-line (that could probably be a ballgown with a large enough petticoat) deep sweetheart neckline with a bottom zipper and top corset tie in the back. First two photos are with a petticoat, third photo is without. Lace-y chapel train. Mostly natural waist with a small semi-basque flair.

LACE
Beautiful semi-floral filigree lace adorned with sequins to add a little sparkle when the light hits. I was told the lace was handmade and that it would be hard for a machine to make anything like it.

NOTES
This dress is probably best suited for /tall/ ladies. I am standing on a 15" stool in the photos where the dress touches the ground, and I'm 5'4" without shoes. It can be altered for shorter ladies, but that would probably be more work.
Some of the appliques have little tips and edges that are free/not sewn down. I think this gives a charming 3D effect, but that is not for everyone.
In the photo with the gold frame, I have a piece of fabric in the neckline because I was going to raise it a bit. I still have this fabric and will include with dress.
