This dress will make you feel like a greek statue or a John Singer Sargeant painting.
This is the Cecilia by Katherine Tash. The bodice is corseted with a sweetheart neckline, and beautifully hand-draped to create flattering folds. This draped effect is accentuated by soft gathers at the center back zip. The skirt has a has a slim fit, and slightly flares at the base into a train.
Constructed from 100% silk satin in ivory, the fabric has a soft hand-feel and delicate sheen which complements the drapery. The dress has been expertly dry cleaned and has no visible marks or stains.

Alterations
- This dress is a split size
- It is an AU size 8 (US size 2) on the top, and an AU size 10 (US size 4) in the skirt
- I had the bodice altered further and taken in by an additional 5 cm
- The seamstress added a button and two delicate loops for bustling the skirt, and a finger loop at the very end of the train, for dancing
- One of these button loops and the finger loop need some repair and reinforcement
