Brand New Vera Wang Carole Gown – Never Worn, Spring 2020 Collection

This is the Vera Wang Carole dress from the Spring 2020 collection—brand new, never worn, and absolutely breathtaking in person. I purchased it at the Vera Wang boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on November 2, 2019, but due to a change of plans (thank you, Covid!), our wedding was canceled and we ended up eloping at the courthouse. The dress, sadly, never got its moment.

Because of the pandemic, this particular style was never photographed for Vera Wang’s official catalog—so I’ve included as many photos as I could find, both on myself and from online sources. It deserves a proper aisle debut.

One of the most special features of this gown is its detachable sleeves—they can be worn for a romantic, editorial effect or removed for a more timeless, strapless silhouette. I personally found the sleeves to be absolutely stunning, adding a soft drama to the overall look.

The dress retailed for $4,544 USD at the time. Given inflation and the rarity of this style, the current value would likely exceed $10,000 (AUD) if purchased new today. I’m simply looking to recoup what I paid.
