Beautiful custom made dress from Story of My Dress

I had it custom made after postponing our wedding twice and deciding to change my dress - the top part was actually made using the fabric from my OG dress (the Rolling in Roses Katie-Lou) and the under slip is what has now become the Story of My Dress Juno (they hadn’t started making it in 2022!). The skirt of the slip isn’t cut on the bias as I preferred a less clingy fall on the skirt.

I absolutely loved wearing her for the day - I felt so so comfortable and danced the night away! (Also wore perky pear stick on tape so not wearing a bra was an added bonus 🤣). The blouse can easily be taken off for the evening (I just never got round to leaving the dancefloor!)

Please see the measurements - although it’s a size 10 the waist was taken in a little (but it was darted so potentially a seamstress could unpick these).

Waist - 14.5 inches/37.5cm
Hips - 20 inches/51cm
Bust - 17.5 inches/44.5cm
Length (front from shoulder) - 61 inches/155cm
Length (back from shoulder, train) - 77.5 inches/197.5cm

I am 5ft 7 for reference!

Has just been professionally cleaned. There are a couple of marks on the hem (left by mud) which the dry cleaner offered to use harsher chemical on to get rid of but there was a risk to the rest of the dress that I didn’t want to take! See the video - they’re very small. There are a couple of pulls in the silk (again on the train) which I think must have happened on stones. I’ve tried to capture them in the video!

Zip up at the back with a small pearl button closure on the blouse.

If I could wear her again I absolutely would - have really ummed and ahed about dyeing/eco printing/shortening but in the end I think she deserves to stay as she is and be worn again!
