This Paco Rabanne dress was a risky reception look for my wedding but I am so glad I wore it! Obviously I don't have an occasion to wear it again, so she's ready to find a new home. You might also recognize it from influencer Gabby Windy's Vegas wedding - same dress :)

I fell in love with this dress last year from Pinterest inspo and searched high and low to find it when it was sold out. I recommend you buy it secondhand instead of new regardless for one main reason: the craftsmanship of this dress is not super consistent despite how beautiful it is. Because the lace and stretch satin are so delicate, this dress came damaged multiple times in a row when I ordered it new from both Neiman Marcus and Moda Operandi. Sometimes the lace was ripped in spots, sometimes the side seams were unraveling. I kept the highest quality one after buying & returning a few others, and my tailor redid the side seams and zipper seams that were loose upon receipt. It held up great for my reception, but it was additional cost on top of the steep price tag.

Alterations

This was originally a size 38 FR (6 US) but tailored to fit like a 2 because it was sold out everywhere in my size when I bought it
So I've listed it as a size 2 It was taken in along the sleeves, waist, and back because the stretch fabric was fitting fairly loose
Side note: in hindsight the stretch satin looked better with a bit more drape than tightness, but I was influenced by my tailor's preference and I do regret it a little! So take a look at my measurements for reference depending on how snug/loose you would want it to fit)
The neckline was lowered to be more of a mockneck than a turtleneck
Because the lace and stretch satin are so delicate, this dress came damaged two times when I ordered it new from both Neiman Marcus and Moda Operandi
