Cosmobella Milano

This dress is magical. It consists of seven layers of skirt, with the second from the top a black polka dot sheer material, overlaid with white sheer. It is made for bold colouring, both in the wearer and the wedding theme, and reflects and complements other colours. We had a cobalt blue and silver themed wedding and it was perfect.

The skirt is hitched in two areas with big 3D flowers, one showing a panel of white underneath, the other side with more ruffles. The bodice has beading that catches the light and reflects other colours, as well as a black and white satin belt with a bow.

The size 6 is versatile and be altered if needed. I was a size 10 at the time for the most part, and it was taken in by a cm or two. My bust was very large (I have since had a breast reduction), it can be worn with a strapless bra, though I went bra-less. The boning in the bodice is quite sturdy. We had a mid-winter wedding in Wellington, and the 7 layers of skirt (and probably adrenaline) kept me warm enough that I didn’t need a cardigan all day.
It has a train, which hooks up to the back of the dress in a bustle when you want to dance. I had a family veil, the shop assistant was dubious about adding a veil to it as the dress is so distinctive already, but as it happened the veil had similar detailing and looked like it was made for the dress.

I actually felt like a princess in this dress. I remember overhearing stunned comments walking down the aisle!
It is very hard to let it go, (our wedding was in 2017!) but I would much prefer it being loved by another bride and friends+family than sitting in a closet.
