I’m letting go of my custom gown, inspired by Galia Lahav’s Opéra model. It’s a corseted basque waist ball gown that wears more like a sleek A-line than a full ball gown, which gave it the drama without the volume. The dress is made from French guipure lace — classic, textured, and low-maintenance (no ironing needed on the day, which was a huge win). The neckline is a keyhole plunge that I had designed closer together for a clean, modern look. The corset sits on the hips for stability and cinches the waist in just right. Despite being strapless, it stayed put all night without a single adjustment. The back has a zip closure finished with pearl buttons, and the cathedral-length train makes a serious statement. It’s a dress that feels modern and timeless at once — strong, feminine, and easy to wear. It deserves another day in the spotlight, not storage.
