Elbeth Gillis - Georgia

Georgia is a stunning ivory A-line gown crafted from rich Mikado silk. The dress features a structured strapless bodice with corset-style cups that offer both support and a flattering silhouette. A row of statement buttons trails down the back and the full A-line skirt flows effortlessly from the waist.

It is a size 8 label, but fits me well as a size 6 to 8.

The dress was purchased from Angelica Bridal in Islington and tailored at Richard Thompson's. It was worn for only the ceremony and dinner of my wedding, before I changed for the evening reception.

This dress has been professionally dry-cleaned and is in perfect condition overall. The final two pictures are following dry-cleaning, so you can see that there are no marks.

Measurements:
- Waist - approx 65cm
- Top to waist (just to the side of bust) - approx 20cm
- Length at front - 134cm

Alterations

The length was adjusted to suit my height (5'6") while wearing 2.87" heels
The train was shortened slightly for ease of movement, though it still retains a train
I had the underlayer removed, as it was too bulky, warm, and restrictive - the dress still looks the same without it but is now lighter, cooler, and much easier to move in
An internal bra-strap–style support was added (invisible from the outside) to help keep the dress securely in place
The alterations came to over £600, so if you are a similar height as me its a great saving
